Self Tapes are here to stay. Musicals are now dominating TV and Film. There's now a paper thin line between Traditional Musical Theatre and Pop/Rock Musicals since all styles are inspired by popular music of come kind.
Auditioning for productions of these musicals will mostly be held Self-Tape submissions, at least for the first round. Your website also has to be your instagram page moving forward as well. So you'll need to master creating incredible new video content on Tik Tok and Instagram, to "market" yourself in multiple ways, all under 59 seconds.
This is the new theatrical climate.
